My teacher came to the prison and taught us there was beauty, love and even caring inside the barbed wire. She was a wonderful teacher and now I am proud to call her my friend. Thanks Daphna. I wanted to paint my own hand in the shackles but this one had more character at the time. Now I could paint my own gnarled old hands and have plenty of character. This is a special piece to me...it reminds me how far I have come and to appreciate the road that brought me here. Finished - approximately 24 x 16 inches
